As AutoChips’ first multi-core, high-frequency MCU based on the ARM Cortex-R52 core, the AC7870 supports ISO 26262 ASIL-D functional safety, integrates an HSM security module, and is compatible with AUTOSAR. With large-capacity Flash and extensive peripheral interfaces, it is designed for domain controllers, zonal controllers, and powertrain/chassis applications in advanced E/E architectures.
The AC7870 joins the AC784 and AC780 to complete AutoChips’ MCU portfolio, delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions for intelligent, connected, and electrified vehicles. MCUs from AutoChips are already deployed in lighting control, digital keys, T-BOX telematics, and BMS systems.
AutoChips’ combined SoC + MCU shipments now exceed 300 million units, with products supplied to over 95% of Chinese OEMs and adopted by leading domestic and global Tier 1 suppliers. The company is driving full localization of automotive-grade chip design, manufacturing, and testing, with 100% self-developed analog IP and over 90% self-developed digital IP, strengthening China’s automotive semiconductor ecosystem.
